Keeping Up with the Creels

I know, i haven't posted any pictures...I'm really bad at that!! But might as well keep you guys up to date on life (not too exciting...but might as well).

With Thanksgiving coming up, Sean and I have been working really hard...just because our jobs are REALLY busy right now! I don't know if people are trying to get things done before it gets too close ot Christmas or what, but it's just been a mad house!

This past weekend was really crazy for us. On Saturday, my good friend Amy Albright got married to her sweetheart, Woody Palmer. Amy was one of my bridesmaids, so i was really excited to be able to be at her wedding. It was SUCH a beautiful sealing and the reception was fun, as most are. Food, good. Dancing, good. Cake, GOOD. ha ha

Sunday was a pretty big day! We had our wards Primary Program so it was a little crazy trying to get to the practice inbetween wedding stuff on Saturday. Also, my class was in charge of sharing time, so I was trying to put that together as well (yeah...it got done at 6 am on Sunday ha ha). I had the best seat in the house! I was sitting a little behind and to the side of the Sunbeams so I got to see all their entertaining antics the entire program! It was hillarious, as always!! We had the little boy who kept yelling at the other children to stand up when it was time to sing, the little girl who couldn't put her dress down, the little boy who stood up and tried to run off stage to his dad three different times, and the little girl who was convinced the entire program was really her ballet recital. ha ha i loved it! My girls did AWESOME!! Two did a violin duet of "I Love to See the Temple", one had a solo of a song I'm not familiar with, and they all did amazing on their speaking parts.

Our sharing time went pretty good. It was on preparing now to be a mother or father. For junior primary, I had the kids sing Do As I'm Doing to different actions that they said their moms or dads did. For senior primary, we did the same thing (which they REALLY got in to!) and then had them look up different scriptures and find out who the speaker's parents were (i.e. Nephi, Alma, Isaac, etc.) They did a really good job and my girls were such great helpers. They even brought me cookies! yay!!


We went and saw New Moon (loved it!!!!...of course I would) and i can't even wait for Eclipse to come out--which I heard it comes out in JUNE!!!! YAY!!!! I thought I'd have to wait a whole year but nope!! Just next summer :D yay!! It's funny because when I was reading the books, I was completely for Edward...but in the movie, Jacob has just the cutest little smile and personality that I switched over to Jacob! I read some of the book again last night and I still think Edward is best for her..in the books. But Jacob is so dang cute in the movie :D just go see it. p.s. After the movie, i was telling Sean my feelings about it and how I really like Jacob and Taylor Lautner in general, and his response was, "What, you're a 14 year old girl now?" ha ha

I think that's about all for now. I'm really looking foward to having a nice long weekend and enjoying the delicious tastes of Thanksgiving. I'm sad because I found out last night that my parents are going to Utah for Thanksgiving AND Christmas, so i don't get ot see them for either holiday. This blows. So I'm glad I have Sean to make the holidays special. hope everyone is doing well and hope you all enjoy your thanksgiving weekend!!

Biggest Fear: Being alone. Seriously. Even if it's the middle of the day, it's really hard for me to be alone. Like if Sean is gone, i'll go walk around the mall or a store or something, not to buy anything...I just can't take being alone. My dogs have greatly helped with this phobia. i know, it's ridiculous. But then again, most phobias are ha ha

Favorite dressing: I used to say Ranch...but I've gotten really in to vingarettes recently. Like any kind, especially rasberry.

Something that bothers you: oooh this could be a long list!! People who don't say please and thank you. People who don't hold the door for the next person coming in if they're in close range. Mismatched things. Papers on my desk. Weird smells. People who don't watch their kids. Unpainted toe nails (on girls obviously ha ha). Guys who wear sandels a lot. People who don't take care of their hair. Sleeping without a blanket. Mascara eye boogers. Boogers, in general. Skinny jeans on fat people. People who take two parking spaces. i could keep going....

Favorite cereal: Cocoa Puffs (but I haven't had it in YEARS!!!!!)

Good Habit: I'm really polite. I say yes mam and yes sir and please and thank you and stuff like that. I think it's a Texas thing.

Bad Habit: I pull out sean's arm hairs. he hates it. But i do it all the time when I'm sitting next to him.

Favorite Place: Disneyland

Favorite beverage: This is hard because I think my favorite beverage EVER is probably a slurpie or rootbeer. However, i don't drink them very often. i drink water, and if I'm given a choice, even at resturaunts, i choose water. Not necessarily because I'm trying to be super healthy, I just always drink water.

If you could change something what would it be: probably my height and weight. I'm too short and I'd love to be skinnier. However, I also wish i was independantly wealthy and owned a home. So i can't decide. I'd make Sean decide for me. he'd say money. He'd say I can work-out and wear high heels ha ha

Something that makes you laugh: It's hard to NOT make me laugh! But recently, I think it's anything on The Office. Sometimes I'll be just sitting at work or somewhere random, and I'll think of something from the Office, and i'll literally start laughing out loud to myself.

A Christmas Carol

I totally forgot to post that Sean and i went and saw Disney's "A Christmas Carol"! It's so good!!! Sean and I both said that we thought it was the best portrayal of the book that I've seen so far. It follows the book word for word, which is awesome (considering howmuch I love it when movies really do follow the original work) and I think it really shows how MEAN Scrooge really is! The other ones kind of show him as just a grumpy old man, but this one shows him more as a regular person...that is really just a mean, hateful person. It's a little scary at parts...i jumped three times!!!...but I think it makes it more affective in showing that he saw some really painful, and scary things that caused him to change. Overall, I loved it and will be buying and GO SEE IT!!! p.s. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the soundtrack!

Blogger Dilema

Now that I have a full time job, mostly typing and being on a computer all day, the last thing I want to do when I get home is get on the computer. However, my blog is suffering because of it. I even have some really great pictures from the sleepover I held for my primary girls (i forgot how fun they can be!) and Chewy wearing The Cone of Shame (he looks so sad!). When I actually get around to uploading them, I'm sure I'll push myself to blog again.

Things have been really smooth and enjoyable once again now that I have a full time job again (yay!!). We actually have GOOD tasting groceries again (sometimes brand names really DO make the difference...as does chicken versus pasta every night ha ha). We were able to go on a long awaited date...went out to Sushi (our first date, and still our favorite) and then walked around the forum shops at Caesars. With Christmas coming up, we decided to forgo our trip to Park City and use that money for Christmas and Thanksgiving. We were first just going to have Thanksgiving with the two of us...but man, after I started adding up not only the expense, but the TIME it takes to make Thanksgiving dinner...i decided to opt out and go to his parents house ha ha But now that I feel I have little Thanksgiving obligations, I'm full steam ahead for Christmas--I'm all ready to put up Christmas decor! However, since i have none (yet...), my pumpkins are still up.

Last night I decided to start doing a 1000 piece puzzle I got for Sean almost a year ago. We thought about starting it many times, but just never pulled it out. I worked on it for about 5 hours...without even realizing I'd skipped both lunch and dinner! ...I finally had dinner after. Sean would walk by, put a piece in here or there, but he said "It's too hard! I'm frustrated!" and would just walk away. He was laughing at me because I wasn't using a stool or any chairs at the table, i would just walk around it and look for pieces. I'll definitely put up a picture when I finish it. Sean likes it so much he even found some puzzle glue so we can hang it up when its finished.

Trick-Or-Treater-less Halloween

So Halloween came and went...without any Trick-or-treaters!! I was so disappointed, but I think it was better in the long run. Three dogs and no backyard can cause quite a problem when you have people constantly coming to the door or ringing the doorbell. So instead, we decided to rent scary movies and just stay home...this turned into going to Petsmart and buying bunny litter, a dog collar, some dog treats/toys...and then renting one movie and paying a late fee...and $40 went pretty quickly ha ha But overall, it was fun night just being together. Sean watched some of the World Series while i got all comfy and ready to watch the movie (which was pretty good actually). Then we watched Ghost Hunters (one of Sean's favorite shows) and called it a night. Not the most exciting Halloween I've ever experienced, but a nice relaxing night over all :)

SNOW IN LAS VEGAS!!!!

No, not really....but that's what it looked like when I came home from work last night!!! Apparently, Chewy gets bored during the day... (Pardon the quality of the photos, they were taken on my cell. By the time i'd calmed down enough to think to take a decent picture, i'd already cleaned it all up.)

In case you can't tell from the picture...yes, that is my couch...with a gaping hole...and stuffing all around it on the ground. P.S. in the pictures, the hole doesn't look that bad. However, the hole is small in size...but he managed to pull out ALL the stuffing--so if you sit on that cushion, there's no stuffing ha ha

Who knew that such a sweet little puppy could grow up to be such a terror! Actually, he's usually a really good dog...he just is getting bored these days. He's about 8 months now, oh actually he's almost 9 months--whoa!!!! And we really need to get him fixed...i'm thinking that might help. We've been trying to get him more toys too, but apparently yesterday was just too much for him! Goodness...at least i'm not attached to that couch in any way ha ha

Pumpkin Carving and Parties

I haven't blogged ina while, so I have a LOT to blog about...but here are the highlights:

1. I got a new job!! I'm working at Logo Apparel where I am the office manager (yay). We design logos and merchandise and uniforms and pretty much anything you want, for anyone. We do all the hotels, the shows, the companies, etc. For example, we do everything at the M&M store, we design everything in the hotel gift stores, but we also do company items...we do Sean's work's shirts--how funny is that? Love that I'm busy ALL DAY, love the people I work with, love the hours, love the location, it's just a really great job so I'm very VERY fortunate! I guess it's true that Heavenly Father brings you to RIGHT above your breaking point...and then blesses you SOOOO much!

2. Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday, despite Sean's allegations that it is NOT a holiday!! Whatever, Mr. Scrooge (or whatever the equivilent would be for Halloween ha ha) We started the celebration by carving pumpkins. As you can see, mine rocked. (p.s. although we bought the Pumpkin Masters kit for the tools, our designs were all free hand)

The infamous Superman shield (Sean does this every year...the back is gone because he wanted to do a baseball on the other side. As you can see, it didn't turn out. It just became a gaping hole. ha ha)
3. We went to a Halloween party held by Megan and Doug (yay!). I was really excited because it gave me an excuse to dress up--only the FUNNEST part of Halloween!! I was trying to decide, should I go as Marilyn Monroe? A cherry pie (it's a cute costume)? Raggedy Ann again? or something different? Sean kept teasing me, telling me it wasn't a big deal, but I was stressing ha ha So finally Sean just said, "Well, I'm going as either Clark Kent or a Police Officer." He wanted me to dress in a suit and be Lois Lane, but since I wear a suit every day to work, this REALLY wasn't going to be any fun...I didn't want to be ME for halloween! Geez....this guy does NOT get this holiday!! Finally, after a nice stroll through Target, I saw this Fireman costume for $20, so I decided, we could go as a police officer and a firefighter...yay. (Hey, it made sense in my head.) So Sean was a good sport and went with me to the party, which was a blast--it was fun to see old friends, and new ones, and then afterwards our friends Casey and April (my Britney Spears concert buddy ha ha) came over and played games. Good times!

Apparently I had a little "too good" of a time ha ha jk Of course they have to catch me in a laugh...my mom goes, "Geez Kirsten, it's time to cut out the booze in public" ha ha!
